Objectives & Outline
Objectives:
Medical imaging using ionizing radiation is coming under intense scrutiny from public, professional, and regulatory groups, who all share a common goal of ensuring patient benefit while minimizing patient risk. In medical physics, approaches to minimizing risk include obtaining relevant, up to date education on the
- safe uses of constantly evolving imaging technologies,
- best methods to test image quality and dose performance , and
- changes in technology and how they affect regulatory / accreditation requirements.
Program Outline
All sessions take place in Price Center Theater unless otherwise noted.
